Minimum cost of living

The Department of Home Affairs has financial requirements you must meet in order to receive a student visa. Below is a guide on the requirements you must meet to study in Australia as of October 2019:

• For partners coming with you - AUD$7,362
• For a child coming with you - AUD$3,152

As an international student studying in Australia, you are required to hold a valid Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) policy for the entire duration of your studies.  OSHC is a form of insurance which assists international students to meet the costs of medical and hospital care that they may need while in Australia.
