This qualification reflects the role of early childhood educators who are responsible for designing and implementing curriculum in early childhood education and care services. In doing so they work to implement an approved learning framework within the requirements of the Education and Care Services National Regulations and the National Quality Standard.

They may have responsibility for supervision of volunteers or other staff.

Course Duration

International – 104 weeks (72 weeks of classes + 32 weeks of holidays) includes a minimum of 432 hours of work placement


International – 20 hours per week full time – including mandatory work placement

Entry Requirements


  • Have completed Year 12 (HSC) or equivalent.
  • IELTS 5.5 overall or equivalent.
  • 18 years or above.

Training Options

Face to face training

Face to face classes at BBCI are kept small with a maximum of 15 students per class, allowing more quality time with their trainer. Each trainer is well experienced in the field, providing first hand experiences and learning techniques for their students.
